About Me

Person wearing sunglasses and a black t-shirt, smiling outdoors with trees in the background.

I grew up during the beginning of the digital camera era, so I was never far away from my family’s point-and-shoot camera. I didn’t take photography seriously, though, until the later stages of high school, when I began experimenting more with our camera at the time. I was producing decent results and was given a “real” mirrorless DSLR as a graduation gift. The rest, as they say, is history.

If it were not for the macro shooting ability of that first camera in high school, I doubt I would have persisted and pursued photography any further (macro being the definition for shooting subjects at a very close distance from the lens, usually sub-meter distance, with many purists insisting macro is only macro when the lens can produce 1:1 reproduction on the sensor or film). I’m so glad I did persist, as photography has been one of the most rewarding things in my life.

When I’m not shooting photos, I enjoy the process of lifelong learning and international motorsports, among other things. Feel free to stay and browse my catalog; you might find something you’ll love!
